Coaching activities available
Coaching courses between 7 and 8.30am. Score courses start between 8.30 and 9am, finish by 10.15am. AGM at 10:30am.

First up we have (free) coaching available between 7AM and 8:30AM. We will have some short practice courses for navigational grades of Very easy, easy, moderate, and hard, approx 1km each. Tutors are available for anyone wanting an introduction to the map legend, compass use and to try out navigation techniques at the different levels of difficulty.
Following this we have Score event courses available to start between 8.30AM and 9.00AM. The score event is a time limited event. Participants have 75 minutes to visit as many checkpoints as possible. Late penalties apply.
Three grades of difficulty to choose between: Easy, Moderate and Hard. Checkpoints are worth three different values: 5 points, 10 points or 20 points. Use your 75 minutes to visit checkpoints, accruing as many points as possible. But be careful! Points penalties apply for every minute or part thereof that you go over 75 minutes.
Penalties are:
5 points per minute on the Easy course
10 points per minute on the Moderate course
20 points per minute on the Hard course
The MapRun app will be used for timing.
Time
Start between 8:30 am and 9:00 am
Finish by 10:15 am
BYO
Hat, sun protection, clothing comfortable for exercising in the heat/bush. Water bottle with water. Picnic mat or chair for after, money/card for entry, BBQ & drinks.
Coaching
Coaching is available between 7:00 am and 8:30 am
Afterwards
Stay for a sausage, picnic with friends, and join our AGM to learn about what has been going on in all things orienteering over the last year with TEO.
Directions
Enter East Point reserve and follow the road past Lake Alex, towards the Military museum. Park along the roadside near the museum and Gun Turrets.
