Event type
This is a 90 minute MapRun score event, with mass start at 7.30pm. Visit checkpoints in any order, to collect as many points as possible and be back by 9pm.

Join us for a MapRun SCORE EVENT in the dark, around the Lakeside Dive, University and surrounds, including the Dripstone cliffs area for furtherest checkpoints. Arrive and register from 7pm. Start at 7.30pm (when it is dark!) 90 minutes time limit with all participants starting in a mass start at 7.30pm and finishing at 9pm. The aim is to visit as many checkpoints on your map as possible within this time to accrue as many points as possible, but you may choose your own route and visit checkpoints in any order.
Three different levels of navigational challenge are offered:
Easy score course - mostly Easy grade checkpoints are offered on your map
Moderate grade score course - mostly Moderate grade checkpoints are offered on your map
Hard grade score course - mostly hard grade checkpoints are offered on your map
Checkpoints have 3 different values (5, 10, 20 points, depending on 'difficulty'). Choose your own route to accrue as many points as possible. But be careful! Points penalties apply for every minute or part thereof that you go over 60 minutes.
Penalties are:
5 points per minute on the Easy course
10 points per minute on the Moderate course
20 points per minute on the Hard course
MapRun used for Start / Finish / Common control. All controls to be punched on Control Card.
Expect this event to run like a mini-rogaine, in the dark!
Time
Start between 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm
Finish by 9:00 pm

Sense of adventure, water bottle, torch for each competitor, charged mobile phone with MapRun app installed (one needed per team)
Coaching
Coaching is available between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm
