Lok Cabay
Water
It has been particularly hot recently, so runners may prefer to carry their own water, however there will also be water at a couple of locations on each course. Suggest starting as dearly as possible to capture the cooler hours of the morning.
Sunday, 15 August 2021
The area displays a mosiac of grassy bush patches, with those areas having been recently burned providing particularly good vision and running, while those with longer grass will demand closer attention to navigation. Long trousers may be prefered by some. The longer courses enter an area of low rocky ridges without a track network, providing a challenge not often provided on our NT maps. A compass is recommended for all courses and a whistle must be carried.

Directions
To get to Lok Cabay, take the Stuart Hwy south from Darwin/Palmerston and turn right at Batchelor Rd (as though going to Litchfield N.P.). Continue along Batchelor Rd for 7 km and look for the O signs. Entry to the Lok Cabay map is on the right-hand side, just past the Crater Lake Rd turnoff. The start area is approx 900m along the track, which is a little rough, but suitable for 2WD vehicles (if it's a choice between the Audi or Falcon, leave the Audi at home!)
